What better way to work through this frozen Spring than by creating a fun and lively Bat Mitzvah celebration for our adorable client Lizzy. The day was bright and beautiful, a perfect way to celebrate a very special milestone in her life. For this daytime Bat Mitzvah, Lizzy wanted a traditional cocktail hour reflective of her favorite colors but then turn the vibe up for the reception to a cool and clubby atmosphere illuminated by neon lights.
We could not have found a more perfect venue to hold this event. Current Pier 59 Chelsea Piers is a diverse space with impeccable staff and service. Renown caterer Abigail Kirsch works exclusively with Current which ensures outstanding cuisine. The expansive venue has waterfront views, filled with natural light overlooking the Hudson River. The 16 foot high ceilings are accented with a custom lit ceiling that changes color. Current is such a diverse and modern space that is also equipped with blackout curtains to transform the light filled rooms into an intimate and completely different space. Our client was afforded both her traditional cocktail hour filled with light and beautiful water views as well as a full transformation into a nightclub.
The cocktail hour was bathed in light from the panorama windows overlooking the waterfront. The décor was kept simple and chic with metallic balloon bouquets in our clients’ favorite colors from Balloon Kings. The exquisite bar was accented with mylar balloons spelling out our clients’ name, mimicking its mirrored panels and reflecting the light from the windows. Seating was enhanced with custom pillows reflecting our clients’ logo and added a humorous detail to the party.
Shine Entertainment, a multi-faceted entertainment company, kept the guests engaged and moving and grooving all party long. From the photo booth, sports arcade games (foosball, air hockey and pop-a-shot) and air brushed giveaways to the dazzling dancers and charismatic MC Mike, our guests could not have been more enthralled with all that was offered.
Our young guests relaxed on comfortable and chic furniture that lit up provided by New York Lounge Décor. Light up cubbies were stationed along the back wall, for our young guests to store their giveways and shoes so they could dance the night away.
As the festivities came to an end, guests were treated to mini hot chocolates provided by Current to keep them warm on the blustery March afternoon. Lizzy and her friends headed off to the ultimate after party, a slumber party for 10!
